WHAT IS DARE TO BARE?
Dare to Bare is Movemeant Foundation's flagship outdoor charity fitness event where we show women what really matters – that our looks are just one piece of our incredible being. We move. We sweat. We dance. We celebrate bodies of all shapes and sizes by working out in our sports bras, which act as a symbol that we are fighting for those battling eating disorders, body image issues, lack of self worth and depression.
WHY SHOULD I DARE TO BARE?
We’re in the midst of an epidemic. By middle school, 40-70 percent of girls are dissatisfied with two or more parts of their body, and body satisfaction hits rock bottom between the ages of 12 and 15. To compound body dissatisfaction, 51.7% of women reported no participation in any physical activity.
With each dollar raised, we are able to offer grants to schools, communities and other non-profit organizations—providing women across the country with opportunities to move in ways they never thought possible. With more than 20 million girls in the US between 5-18 that could use some movemeant, this is just the start of our work.
DO YOU DARE TO RIDE?
Our cycling classes, taught by San Francisco's leading SoulCycle instructors, are the cornerstone to Dare To Bare. Together, we ride as a pack. A tribe. A family. Each member of our pack will receive a Dare to Bare-branded sports bra, along with everything else you might need for a successful ride, including sunglasses, snacks, beverages and more. Plus, all riders are provided with one (1) guest pass and kids are free with a ticketed adult so bring the family!
