'dare to bare' san francisco

'Dare To Bare' is Movemeant Foundation's flagship outdoor charity fitness event and the largest body-positive event across the country.

Together, we 'dare' ourselves to overcome the fears of our physical appearance in celebration of our physical strength, emotional fortitude, mental grit and self-love.  We move. We sweat.  We dance.  And we shed not just our shirts, but our insecurities—proving that bodies of all shapes and sizes are healthy and capable.

Thanks to all those that participated in Dare To Bare on Saturday, May 21st at Marina Green Triangle!

Mark your calendars and plan to join us in 2017!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT DARE TO BARE SAN FRANCISCO:

"If you notice more and more women in San Francisco and across the country running in their sports bras, you’re witnessing a new movement. It’s called Dare To Bare. The sporting events are sponsored by the Movemeant Foundation, a San Francisco-based non-profit that works to combat the ill-effects of negative body image. One way is to “empower women find self-confidence through movement and self-acceptance in a sports bra.”

Over 700 women and some men did just that on the Marina Green Saturday, May 16th at the Dare to Bare Festival. There were classes in SoulCycle, hip-hop, TRX Suspension training, an obstacle course , and live entertainment."
