When a friend challenged Sierra Lawe, (also known as Peakbagging Chick), to summit one hundred peaks in 2014, she didn’t know if she was ready to make the leap from casual hiker to serious “peak-bagger.”  The year that followed was full of ups and downs, and not just in elevation but with life.  Despite a staph infection that landed her in the hospital and required surgery, she became comfortable with being uncomfortable.

On December 28, 2014 Sierra bagged her hundredth peak when she trekked the “Cactus to Clouds” hike from Palm Springs to the top of Mt. San Jacinto. C2C, as it’s known, has the greatest elevation increase of any trail in the United States.

A certified Wilderness First Responder,  Sierra coordinates rock climbing, hiking, and backpacking adventures for women and high-risk female youth.  Her biggest inspiration is seeing young females realize their worth and strength through experiencing the outdoors.

June 2015 Challenge:  My #daretobare challenge for June will be to attend at least 1 spin class each week sans tshirt. It's all about the sports bra this month! For me, before there were trails, peak bagging, rock climbing, backpacking, there was spin. It was spin that made me fall in love with fitness and taking care of myself.
